WELCOME TO LAWRENCE LAKE LOOKOUT
Escape to this classic little red cabin nestled on the shores of Lawrence Lake in Balsam, Minnesota. With beautiful lake views framed by large windows throughout the home, this cozy retreat is the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy lake life year-round.
The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, or a relaxing getaway with friends.
Enjoy peaceful mornings and sunset evenings from the spacious screened-in porch overlooking the water. Spend your days fishing from the long private dock, exploring the lake in the paddleboat, or simply relaxing by the shoreline. Life jackets are provided for guest use.
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, comfortable gathering spaces, and all the essentials for an easy stay — including on-site laundry.

- Access Itasca County’s vast snowmobile trail system directly from the house either just north of the cabin. There is plenty of room in our driveway for your trailer and it’s only a short ride to access the trails
- Access Itasca County’s vast ATV trail system from the Balsam Store just one mile up the road from the cabin

PROPERTY NOTES
Escape from it all – Cell Service can be patchy but the WIFI is excellent so you can stay as connected as you choose!
A security camera monitors the front yard and entrance as well as the rear entrance, part of the deck and back yard area for the safety and security of our guests.
Steps to the sleeping loft are steep, please watch your step!

CANCELLATION POLICY
SEASONAL CANCELATION POLICY IN PLACE:
SUMMER (May – August):
- Cancel up to 30 days before check-in for a full refund
- Cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, but after the 24-hour cancellation period & receive 50% refund
- Cancel less than 14 days before check-in – no refund
WINTER (September – April):
- Cancel up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund
- Cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, but after the 24-hour cancellation period – receive 50%
- Cancel less than 7 days before check-in – no refund
HOUSE RULES
Please be sure to review all house rules when booking!
- This home is located in a peaceful & quiet lake community. All guests staying at the home must be considerate of others in the neighboring area. Noise disturbances will not be tolerated.(quiet hours are between 10pm-7am)
- Please respect check-in and check-out times (unless we have agreed on other arrangements)
- All Guests must be registered, if the size of your party changes please contact us
- Additional Guests (beyond 8 guests) may be allowed with permission and for an additional fee – Please contact us with questions. Extra guest fees will be charged if more than noted guests stay the night as cleaning/laundry costs go up
- No parties or events
- No Illegal Substances
- Please park only on the gravel and cement areas and under the pine trees, do not park on the grass
- Smoking is allowed outdoors take care to dispose of any smoking related refuse responsibly – a $200 penalty will be charged for violations or debris discovered and disposed of by our cleaning crew
- We are sorry but we can NOT accommodate your Pets
- Please use the dryer to dry any wet beach towels and swimsuits, please do not leave wet items sitting on the floor.
- No Candles
- No Fireworks
- All outdoor fires must remain contained in the fire pit – and no more than 3 feet tall
- Please DO NOT flush anything except toilet paper down the toilet
- No cooking oil down any drains
- No sporting equipment allowed inside the cabin
- Please return all furnishings to their original positions
- Please clean grill if you used it during your stay
- Use only firewood that is provided or firewood you purchase. ABSOLUTELY NO cutting of firewood on the property or adjacent properties is allowed.
- No burning of trash or any other materials besides firewood.
- Please be courteous when engaging in outdoor sports – especially mountain biking – and shower before going to bed. Some of the local soil is very mineral rich and those minerals love to stain our bedding. Thank you!
- Any game or fish cleaning must be done outdoors. CLEAN UP thoroughly after any fish or game cleaning activities. Dispose of entrails away from the cabin or double bag and freeze until your departure. Please cooperate with this as it draws in unwanted animal activity that can be extremely destructive. A $200 fee will be charged for any evidence of breach of this rule.
